I was watching a loose cart ebay auction for Worm Whomper tonight, and lost track of time. It went for $10.49!!!

I think I may never get that game in my collection. pale

Dang! That sucks! The only other one I find on ebay is selling for over $100, but it is complete.

Crying or Very sad I have been trying to track down that game for a long time.

Is there an icon for slamming your head into a wall. I gave up looking because of the same thing as TrekMD. The price was always to much.

I have only played it on an emulator but thought it was really fun!

I have found Commando, Dig Dug, Hover Force, Pac Man, Thin Ice and Turbo carts for a reasonable price so why not Worm Whomper?

Why is it usually so expensive?

That's where the multicart becomes practical. You can play any game that is available as a ROM. Unfortunately, the CC3 seems to have been the only alternative and those are sold out now. Great timing on my part!

I know I have had to buy several lots just to get a few games that I really wanted.

I'm doing that with several Intellivoice games right now. At least I found a lot of 4 that isn't going for too much...yet!

That does exist but this forum doesn't seem to have that one! Feel free to use this in the meantime:

I need the Tron voice game but do not worry I bought a lot a while back just to get Kool-Aid Man and Thunder Castle.

Good Luck with yours!

Thanks, I like that and that is just how felt when I read sloan's post!

That's how I felt for not jumping over a very well priced Vectrex 3D Imager last month!

I am not to familiar with the Vectrex prices but they made a 3D Glasses add-on for the Sega Master System.

It seems that when you add 3D to the title the price goes up.

The Vectrex 3D Imager was made in limited numbers and is rare, so the prices go up a lot. They sell for over $1000 usually, particuarly if they are complete and include the 2 discs that it needs for 3D games (most only have 1 and it can only be used with one game, the other disc is more generic and works with all 3D games for the Vectrex).

The Vectrex itself isn't that bad, but the Imager gets quite a bit of cash.

I had gotten my 3D Imager for $350, so I guess I was lucky.

Tron Solar Sailer is mostly just ear candy in search of actual gameplay. You're not missing much.

I thought at the time it was the going price.  That was in 2003.  I cared more about getting a 3D Imager than how much I paid for it.

I also got the NES R.O.B. parts for Stack Up then, and I was happier about that.  R.O.B. and the Stack Up pieces were part of my collection that I sold off, but I figure I can just 3D-print more pieces if I ever get another R.O.B.  Stack Up was the inspiration for my tabletop game D'Materyèl.

Well, compared to what they sell for today that's a great price. For 2003 it does sound like the going price.

I never got R.O.B. for my NES. They are not cheap to get nowadays. One of the 8-Bit Xmas carts for the NES was specifically designed to use the robot too so I've been thinking of getting one.
