Everywhere I go, Sega's 8-bit console tends to get little respect. I know it did quite well in Europe and Australia, but in North America it was dwarfed by something called Nintendo Entertainment System. This is really sad, because I have been discovering this forgotten gem as of late, and I really think its graphics and sound quality easily outdo the lauded NES.

I am also finding that many of the good games for this system never saw stateside release. Thankfully, PAL and NTSC games play on any Master System hardware, and plenty of European and Australian games can be had relatively affordably through ebay.

Are there any others out there who have found a love for this much neglected system?

I have the Master System and Master System adaptor for the Genesis.

What impressed me most was the light gun seemed to be better than Nintendo's.

The Master System versions of Choplifter and Rampage are still two of my favorite games to play for the system.

I have Choplifter for 5200 and Colecovision. For some reason, it doesn't hold my interest. I rescue so many soldiers from aerial assault, and find myself getting bored and shutting it off.

Rampage is one I love on 7800 and NES. May have to look this up for good old Master System.

The Master System version of Rampage has all three characters to choose from. Never tried the 7800 version. I was disappointed that the famed Nintendo Entertainment System only had two characters to choose from.
